Afternoon Day 7
~ by Peggy Karg ~
We had the pleasure of visiting our friend Esther today. It is about a 10-minute walk from the Shalom community center to Esther’s house. She was waiting for us with open arms and a huge smile! Esther is 80 years old, lives alone, and sings in her church choir. She has some health issues with her heart and blood pressure, so we’ve been worried about her. But she was pretty chipper today. Esther’s house now has a cement floor, a sturdy front door and a lock! Esther has the joy of the Lord on her face and love of Jesus in her heart.

It is so great seeing Esther and her home and how happy she is! You all have brought her such comfort and joy, although it’s evident she already has a lot of joy in her heart. Thanks, Peggy!
Yes, we remember Esther. It is so great to see her.
I will say a prayer for them and be safe
It is such a joy to see Esther doing do well. I remember how worried we were at our last trip. God is soooo good!
Such great pictures and it sounds like a wonderful visit. Wonderful!
My goodness, it always amazes and humbles me to see the joy people in Rwanda can have while having so little comfort. We take for granted our privileged lives. Praise God for the joy He gives us regardless of circumstances.🙏
So happy to hear she is doing well and so full of the joy of the Lord
