~by the whole team~
After saying goodbye to the LWA team we made a 6 hour journey to Akagera National Park in the eastern part of the country where we spent two nights at Akagera Game Lodge. The first day was spent debriefing, and in the evening we enjoyed a water safari.

Highlights of the water safari were watching LOTS of large crocodiles moving from land into the water. Some of them were VERY big. We also saw lots of hippos who at sunset would move from the water onto the land to graze. There were lots of birds to enjoy as they came in to roost for the evening. The African Fish Eagles were happy to pose for us.

At 6:30 am we were ready to head out for our all day safari. Expectations were high and we were not disappointed, by days end we had seen elephants, white rhinos, Cape buffalo, hippos, zebras, impalas, 3 sleepy lions, lots of wonderful birds and SO MANY giraffes. You can’t have too many giraffes!

We are now in the Kigali airport waiting to begin our journey home. God was at work here before we came, God was at work while we were here and God will be at work after we leave, in our lives and the lives of Love With Actions. Thank you for journeying with us and for your love and prayers for the team.
