During the Sunday (Feb. 15) morning service at St. James Presbyterian Church in Littleton, CO, the mission team heading to Rwanda, Africa was commissioned and prayed over by the Senior Pastor of St. James, Dr. Wayne Darbonne. The mission team will support an organization called Love With Actions (LWA). “Team Rwanda” will depart Denver for Rwanda this Friday Feb. 20th and arrive in Kigali, Rwanda on Saturday evening Feb. 21st Rwanda time.
The attached picture shows most but not all of the team. From left to right is Pastor Wayne, Sally Stuart, Kath Stone, Peggy Karg, Mike Ribelin, Elizabeth Gregory, Steve Clark and Win Brandon. In the back row is Renata Hewett and Tom Hewett. Team members Jill Wager and Audrey Scanlon are not in this picture. Jill Wager is a local member of St. James. Audrey is with another church and will be meeting us in Kigali.
Following the service some of the team members finished packing seven large duffle bags of items that we are taking to LWA. Among other things we are taking four wheelchairs, six laptops, tennis shoes, solar lights, soccer balls, TheraBand’s, children’s books, math workbooks etc for LWA.
Please keep the team in your prayers as we travel to and support Love With Actions (LWA) in Rwanda.
