Morning Day 5
~ by Rick Goad ~
Our team continued with the adventures in Rwanda. Late Wednesday morning we visited two public schools. One half of the team visited the Karama Primary School in Bumgobo. This large school of 2600 students must be split into two shifts to function. It is still then a very large school. Karama Primary has provided some accommodation for a few students from Love With Action. To show our appreciation, we presented 2 dictionaries, many notebooks and pens to the principal, and a student from each class. To our surprise, this was a big event at an outdoor facility. The weather cooperated and some 1300 students greeted us as we walked on the stage. We were a little late in arriving, but the principal and others were able to keep the students engaged with singing and clapping. The event went very well and we departed to much clapping and cheering. As you can see from a few photos, there was quite a crowd present.

How wonderful that this school has accommodated some LWA kids.
Huge school! Great to see! Supplies are so important and appreciated at schools everywhere. Imagine their awe in receiving these especially in a place where they are lacking so much! Thank you for sharing with these children.
Wow! The video was so fun to see and hear. It’s exciting to see how excited these kids are to be able to go to school and learn. How rewarding for all of you to be a part of encouragement and growth.
