Afternoon Day 4
~ by Andy DeScala ~
I had the privilege of visiting the home of Fred. He is an amazing boy. His parents are Theresa and Venant. He is 14 years old and has 2 younger siblings. Fred has a foot deformity and autism. Because of his health issues his parents often felt rejected and isolated by neighbors. Before they met with Love With Actions Fred was unable to get the medical attention he needed because of financial issues. His mother Theresa was very lonely. Now Fred can get the medication he needs for his seizures and physical therapy. Theresa said he is doing much better. She is a teacher at LWA and has many friends there. His family now has much hope.

Thank you for sharing this, Andy. Multiple stories from your time there document the rejection from family and community. This hurts my heart. I will be praying for this family and others with these struggles.
I love this post Andy. It shows the real difference LWA is making in the lives of these kids and their families. Thanks for giving me a glimpse of your spirit journey in Africa. ❤️❤️❤️
Such an encouraging post! Thanks, Andy. I have a soft spot for Freds after reading about him.
It must be such a gift to the family to receive the visiting team and Gilbert into their home. How humbling this is to all of us who are so privileged. May God continue to bring in possibilities for support and love to families like this. Anything is possible with God🙏
