Good Shepherd Academy Visit

Morning Day 4

~ by Sue Chandler and Alice Jensen ~

Susie, Sue, Andy and Alice had a super fun time teaching the teachers and kids at Good Shepherd Academy how to play with a parachute. This was a game that even the kids in wheelchairs could participate in the fun. A student who became disabled after contracting malaria and as a result couldn’t walk, was so proud to show us that he could walk independently. Everyone cheered for him as he walked across the room! He has been in physical and occupational therapy for 5 years.

While waiting for snacks the students sang us songs and we taught them “God Is So Good” in both English and Kinyarwandan. We taught them John 8:12 with hand actions. We also presented GSA with soccer balls and pumps, preschool musical instruments, pencils, crayons, wall world map, Bluetooth speakers and educational posters.
